Solid Drum Shells
Ron Vaughn Solid Drum Shells are hand made, steam bent shells, with some remarkable original equipment designed just for making these unique solid shells. Shell bodies are made from one single piece of hardwood. Maple reenforcing hoops are also bent from single pieces of hardwoods. Bearing edges are then cut into the fully assembled solid shells. Ron Vaughn Solid Shell Bearing edges are a combined 30 degree outside + 45 degree inside machined bearing edge.
